IN THE GARDEN
From May to November the pots adorn
the patio with color and verdant foliage.
Before winter, the bulbs and tropicals
are carried indoors, where Laura gives
them refuge from the cold weather.
Some of her plants—as well as her pots,
which she carefully stores—have
survived this annual cycle for years.
Although creating the patio and
surrounding garden was hard work,
Chris and Laura agree it was worth the
effort. “The payback, which everyone
wants, is sitting in the garden, candles
flickering, a glass of wine, music
playing” Chris says. Sounds a little
romantic, doesn’t it?
